The
LA Times did a great
audio slideshow on Leonard Knight, a man who has spent the past 25 years painting in the Imperial Valley desert. The photography is beautiful. I definitely noticed how
photographer Don Bartletti uses the fill technique while shooting in the desert.
This piece develops Knight as a character pretty well, but I would have liked to seen portraits of the other voices in the story. It would have been interesting to see some more interaction between Knight and the visitors of his Salvation Mountain.
